Coach's Show with Scott Flory - Vanier Cup edition | HuskieFAN
Update: 2025-11-21
Description
Saturday marks the third trip to the Vanier Cup in five seasons for the USask Huskies. Head coach Scott Flory led Saskatchewan to the 2021 and 2022 championship games; however, the Huskies fell to Western 27-21 four seasons ago, and three years ago lost to Laval 30-24. Saskatchewan’s last championship title was 27 seasons ago… a 24-17 win over Concordia at the Skydome in 1998. The Huskies have competed in seven Vanier Cup games since.
The Carabins and Huskies are both loaded with players who have Vanier Cup experience. Montreal has at least 17 offensive and defensive starters that played on the 2023 championship team that defeated UBC 16-9. At least nine Saskatchewan starters played in the 2022 Vanier Cup.
Huskie head coach Scott Flory chatted with HuskieFAN about last weekend’s 22-11 win over Queen’s in the Mitchell Bowl at Griffiths Stadium and about facing the Carabins on Saturday in the Vanier Cup.
